me is no atheist, or how i learned to lose my god and love satan

mostly written, 4th of July 2009, mostly..... i thought i'd post this instead of trying to finish it off, as the recently non-believereded might get some value... another long blog and it's not really finished, past topics have been spin-offs from this blog, as it's been in my "edit queue" for so long at nearly half a year some of the things I cover spawned whole blogs themselves, hence, this blog is very sporadic..... .

i am no atheist... or how i learned to lose christianity and love the bomb, Satan, The Force!

BAHAHAHAAHHA @ the title.... i couldn't make up my mind

i never really thought of myself as a christian, *ever*, when ever the topic came up - I was *Roman*Catholic* - but as a child none of that meant anything to me anyway, i learnt a couple of prayers but that was about it - i seem to have these prayers still memorised so that really does highlight how easily a young mind can be imprinted with such prayers as ...

"twinkle twinkle little star how i wonder what you are?" ... you know the ones.. what about this christmas prayer? "he sees you when you're sleeping" etc etc etc

but i don't consider myself an "atheist" today either, as that is just another label that someone else uses to describe me when it comes to religion or my lack thereof, so in fact, it has nothing to do with who or what I am, so it's hardly a surprise that i don't think of myself as an atheist, because being an atheist means *nothing*..

Nothing *AT*ALL* ... and *that* is what I thought the idea of being an atheist was about - no preconceptions about things that are not verifiable, in particular, god

so apart from *not* believing in a sky daddy, is there one thing that can be said about anybody that would make them an atheist? (you should consider that a CHALLENGE, because i'm stuffed if i can think of one thing, let alone a BAD THING)

I keep doing those online tests and I mostly get "atheist" but once I got "satanist" and once i got "Islam" - but the strange thing is - Roman Catholic, the religion that I was taught, apparently, was always at or near the bottom of these tests!

many people think that an atheist is supposedly the opposite of a theist... but what I don't understand is how there can be an opposite to believing?

OPPOSITES v urrr.. ahem... OPPOSITES

you see, believing requires actions on the part of the believers, right? you have to actually *do* things to be a believer, save a prayer until the morning after like Duran Duran did, go to the church of the poison mind like Culture Club did, believing in your own Personal Jesus like Depeche Mode did, you frakking know, all those believerish type of things.

but the opposite of believing requires *inaction* or abstaining from, or not doing any of those believerian type activities in the first place... eg. is doing nothing somehow the anti-particle of believing?

think about that would you? this highlights the extreme idiocy of people who get upset that their "faith" has been challenged by the non-believer. doing the literal nothing, is all it takes to oppose the beliefs that some people have.

that's like the number zero being able to be bigger than the number one.. that's like winning a fight that you know nothing about... that's like taking an exam that has no questions on it, but you still get a 100% score... any believer having a problem with the non-believer, well that's all the believers problem.

ironically - god existing or not existing - is an argument that you can not win, but you can lose it by declaring that you lack the very faith you claim to have.

so how is doing "nothing" the opposite of believing? I could go for a run, or I could do the opposite and do nothing ... but is that really the opposite??

doing *nothing* is the default position. think of a circle with the exact middle as being the default position, move to any spot inside that circle, and you can chart the opposite position by drawing a line through the exact middle and continuing on for exactly the same distance as you are from the middle of the circle. but what is the opposing position of the exact middle?

an opposite is opposed to something ... what is the opposite of running? is it running backwards, or is it running in the other direction that's the opposite?.. well what's the opposite of running? it's not standing and doing nothing, is it?

insert any random thing you do - is doing the opposite of that thing, doing nothing?

if that's the case then doing nothing is the opposite of everything you do ... and doesn't that mean that doing the opposite of nothing, is *still* nothing?

no, I think that the opposite of running, is actually *not* running. and the opposite of nothing, is *not* nothing.

doing nothing is not the fucking opposite of what ever it is that you are doing, the point here is that atheism, does NOT have an opposite - as there is nothing to oppose.

think of it this way: someone says they believe in god, but then they ask me if I believe, and I say "well I never really thought about it actually" (which actually used to be true), meaning that I haven't decided about my position about god, so is not making a choice, really the opposite of making a choice? Is my position really the opposite of the believer? What if I didn't even know there was a choice to be made?

No! my position, is akin to standing on the exact middle of the circle. If you make a choice, it's the choice you make that decides what it's opposite is but you *have* to make that choice first.

if you stood in the strong wind and did nothing you would get blown away, you have to exert the *opposite* force against it to not fall over.

THE LOTTO

let me use another analogy.

if you buy a lotto ticket, you are either a winner or a loser, if you don't buy a ticket, you are *neither* a winner, nor are you a loser. However, even if you don't play the lotto, most of you are *still* aware that people play lotto, but it just doesn't appeal to you....

Some players will think that the non-players are automatic losers for not bothering to play the game, but some of the non-players will consider the players automatic losers for playing this game every week and wasting their money, and yes you could win if you do play, but the odds are astronomically against you.

Point is, the opposite of a believer, is a non-believer, and "non-believer" doesn't exactly say what sort of person they are, does it? I could be a car driving non-believer or a Russian non-believer or a etc etc etc

for many people, they use the label "atheist" as if it's a positive, it is not a positive, it's the neutral position, so I reckon that it should not be used in that context of positive or negative, as it confuses those poor religious people and their "god did it" brains..

when somebody asks you what your religion is - if you consider yourself an atheist - you should say "no religion" or simply say "none"

GOD DENIAL? WELL, IT'S REACTIONARY, THE BURDEN OF PROOF IS ALL YOURS

i believe this is the basis of the "burden of proof" argument being on the **believer**. My position as the non-believer, is the default, it's the believer that needs to bring proof to the party, because I did *nothing* to arrive at my beliefs, NOTHING AT ALL...... I didn't move off the centre of the circle, so just how is the burden of proof on me, the non-believer? Just how is the non-believer supposed to prove *nothing*? How do you prove you have not moved off the centre of the circle? Yes it obvious to you that you haven't moved, but someone else, they wouldn't know. They can't know. Because they are thicky thicky, thickety thick.

I vacated my mind of any "belief" in religion and god, and I make *no* claim that there isn't a god that wasn't in reaction to someone else saying that there was a god, so it's not like I go around trying to sell the idea that there is no god. All of my opposition to belief and the supernatural has *all* been a reactionary response to something someone has said or done to me.

i think this is the problem with the perception of atheism - some people seem to think that all atheists used to believe in god so they are NOW actively denying god as some sort of mantra to make god go away.. I also sometimes get the impression that believers think non-believers say such things just to piss them off, as if it's their believer RIGHT to bullshit about their fantasies and that we will accept what they have to say as a matter as fact. I only ever deny god about two seconds *after* some religious person tries to sell me *their* god, so it's reactionary.

It's *always* reactionary. and my reaction is often one of ... mocking .. ok then, *snickers*, be a believer!! *snickers*

I would never have thought to deny god if no-one made a speculation that there was a god, I always say "well, what makes you think there's a god?" ... and nothing i've heard is anything but lame ... basically most people believe because their mum said they should... If the religious don't want their god laughed at and mocked and denied, if they don't want what their mummies told them when they got tucked into bed to be disassembled and revealed to be a lie - then they can keep their god personal - like they are supposed to.

It's also very important to realise that it's THEIR god that is what is being denied, the god that *they* claim to "know" is what is being denied. There could be a god, but fucked if I have seen anything to make me think that anybody's *particular* god is *the* god, and the bullshit I have heard about god, is far below par of what I would expect from god anyway. "god made the universe hey? seems like making a universe was a pretty easy task for god, what else has god done?"

Obviously I'll repeat what I've said without being prompted to other people about god at times, probably after thinking about more ways about how incredibly wrong someone was with their god speculation, but even still, it was the *believer* that tipped that scale of mine in order for me to blab at them,

"WHAT?!?! BULLSHIT, there is no way that *your* god exists, your story just does not make sense, where did you get those ideas?..."

when the non-believer is given a religious scenario (aka a STORY) by the believer, and then the non-believer thinks about it for two seconds and then says "what?!?! that makes no sense, show me!" .. the believer then has no right to get upset when asked for proof.

Some of these believerish people want you to follow their religion, but just because they were stupid enough to believe what somebody told them, doesn't mean the same will happen with me. And seriously, I don't give a shit that it was a case of them being indoctrinated at a young age. Children, are truly *not* dumb, they can figure things out for themselves. I figured out religion was a heap of bullshit long ago, the bible lost me at about the flood story i think it was. I was ten or maybe a couple of years younger.

It is the irresponsible parents who do NOT teach their children about critical thinking that are the problem. If something doesn't make sense, teach the child to ask for clarification. Teach them how to find out for themselves and there is no excuse these days with Google and Wikipedia and such.

so if it wasn't for loud and outrageous claims like "THERE IS A GOD!! BECAUSE I SAID SO!!" there would be no equally loud questions asking for some proof of this "god" thing in return. And *seriously* -- these nut cases must take our silence (eg our TOLERANCE of their BULLSHIT) about these tall tales as some sort of an agreement with them, that's how arrogant some of these nutcases are... I know this for a fact as I've been told as much, and in no uncertain terms, "I am right, because I say so" .. that's what they literally say - in spite of their demanding that it's the bible that says so, because so often these fuck heads have got the bible completely wrong, it's the *person* and their twisted interpretation of how they read the bible that is saying "there must be a god"..

if you don't say shit to them, they think you are on their side - this is something I have proven many times - eg. i have had civil conversations with christians - all is sweet and nice, at first - but then the christian finds or figures out that i'm not christian - and *then* they start speaking to me like I'm a piece of shit...

go FUCK YOURSELF if you are one of those people. Religion of tolerance MY ARSE.

FREE WILL? I CAN ALSO NOT MAKE A CHOICE, RIGHT?

People who actively deny god are like the lotto non-player types who say that they refuse to play the lotto, "well.. OK... so don't play the lotto then!" .. it should be a case of not needing to say that you don't believe in god, but it's not, like I said above, people take your silence and tolerance of their bullshit as an affirmation that you are agreeing with them, probably because their arrogance is so huge they don't think that someone else could possibly think differently to them.

The way I see "atheist" - is that you wouldn't think of the concept of god in either a positive or a negative way.. This is the same as the person who isn't a "lotto denier" nor are they a "lotto player". They are aware of the lotto concept but it doesn't faze them either way. and while they are technically in the same bucket as the "lotto denier person", in that they don't play, it doesn't occur to them to play or not to play *either* way, so they are certainly unlikely to be a "lotto hater" .. the people who actively deny the lotto, probably do this as a reminder that they not waste their money, maybe they're owing some money to their bookie? or had a bad experience with god, I mean, the lotto...

It occurs to me that people might not be able to grasp or "get" the concept of not choosing a side. Why is that a problem? ARE YOU DUMB? ARE YOU STUPID?

it's like: do you go out with "Chris" or do you go out with "Saddam"? Does it really not occur to people that freedom of choice, aka "FREE WILL" (that thing "god" allegedly gave us), also means that you are free to *not* make a choice at all?

Well?

Another way of looking at it, is if the "lotto denier" walked into the newsagent, saw the lotto games, and then said "I do NOT wish to purchase a lotto ticket thanks" to the attendant, why would you say that if you weren't a mental case? or even if they said something along the same lines to themselves, "no! I won't buy a lotto ticket" in spite of seeing all the advertising. A "lotto denier" would be akin to an aggressive or militant atheist.

A true atheist is the person who doesn't care either way, and would be the person who walked into the newsagent and didn't think about any of the lotto games available, and just got on with what it was they were doing there in spite of having their senses overloaded with colourful banners enticing them to play the lotto games.

well at least that's how I see it

* * * *

i've described three perspectives above but really there are *four* sides of the argument, if you want to be really technical.

{{those that are believers}} /
{{those that are non-believers}} /
{{those who don't care}} /
{{those who are unaware of the whole thing in the first place}}

((i came up with a fifth one too - which could have been those who don't know what to believe, the "I want to believe" group, i guess there's a sixth one too, those who "do believe, but don't want to", which is probably a transitional and temporary state of mind heading away from belief, the "I want to believe" might be transitional towards belief... but i'm making shit up again ))

i've no idea which group would be the biggest as a lot of people outright lie, they say one thing, but mean another, or don't want to seem weak-mind by taking a position of doubt, but some of that lying is actually unintentional, because of their indoctrinating/brainwashing. The truth is, not making a decision about god would be the most prudent and sensible thing to do, and saying "I don't know", is the beginning of wisdom to paraphrase Lt Commander Data.

i would put myself into the "I don't care bucket", or at least I'm working towards that. you might point out that i *do* seem to care a fair bit about religion, but - it's entertainment - christianity is like a great big murder mystery horror drama movie where you gotta figure out who the bad guy is, because thus far no-one has said anything that makes any inkling of sense just yet, so the punch line of the whole movie is still yet to come, if it EVER comes at all, that is.

I'll be very annoyed if the BUTLER DID IT.

actually what I *do* care about is religion staying away from science, as the two don't belong together.

religion == train wreck, morbidly fascinating ... or maybe like masturbating with a cheese grater, slightly amusing, but mostly painful.

* * * *

(((
((this bit doesn't fit in, but i've left it))

but anyway: having the priest explain the bible when you don't understand keeps the majority in-line with the same ideas. It wasn't until the 1600s when the bible first became available for the regular person to read. Until then, only the clergy would be able to read the Latin or whatever it was written in that the common man couldn't read. I'd imagine that's why people went to church, they weren't able to read the bible themselves and who could afford a book in those days anyway?

Which is why Catholicism outnumbers all the other christian cults put together i would imagine. The church tells them how to interpret the bible, this way people don't go off getting their own ideas, and if they do have questions, then they are to confer with their Padre! That's what I was taught.

This may sound weird coming from someone who is anti-religion, but if you're going to have religion, then everyone needs to be believing the same thing, otherwise your religion is a joke, and that's all it is. The way I see this is that basically, these born again christian types each have their *own* version of christianity..

so in fact there isn't something like 30,000 different sects of christianity, not from what I've seen. I would suspect that there is actually closer to millions of versions of christianity, seeing how every "christian" i've encountered on myspaz (about fifty or so) seems to be on a different path, be it a slightly different path, or a massively wrong path. The point is if fifty people seem to have their christianity all over the place, then what does that say for the rest of them? It probably means they don't know what to think, but still say they are christians anyway ...

Gandhi said something along the lines of "In reality there are as many religions as there are individuals." .. i tend to agree with that assessment, although Gandhi was talking about the Hindu religion at the time, but it also applies to other religions.

)))

I AM THE EYE IN THE SKY

so yeah...

Religion was just another one of those things that I grew out of that wasn't really given a serious look at in the first place, strange that it is so normal to *not* be indoctrinated into stupidity...

Imagine if I was raised as if Star Wars was a fact, how would I be received as an adult in the "real" world? Would I not be ridiculed for believing that I am a "Jedi", regardless of how many good things I got out of this fiction, it's still fiction, it doesn't become *real* when I "just" believe in it. Telling other people they "just" need to believe in The Force, doesn't cut it either.

"Oh you just need to believe in Star Wars before you watch it" ... This is no diff to "You need to believe in Jesus before you read the bible" .. at least the Jedi don't condemn you to hell for not wanting to believe in The Force.

If George Lucas is considered the Messiah in two thousand years from now, the stories he told, would still be stories. The same with other "scripture" - they are stories - which may be based in truth, but they are still stories. You can still like those stories, you can still learn from those stories, but the universe is pretty big, it seems a bit silly to draw your universal view from a small set of people, when there are millions of people who have something useful to say who can give you a broader universal view, world views are too small these days.

although, I must admit, that even with a limited "knowledge" of god, I did spend quite a few years worrying about what god would think of what I was doing... but that was never an "at the time" thought, so fear of god didn't stop me being a little shit, god just made me feel bad about being myself, just by existing... but this doesn't imply that I believed *in* god, believing *in* something is supposed to be a good thing, thoughts of god were never a good thing to me.

I had no fear of hell, because I knew I wasn't doing anything *that* wrong, i just was never *good* enough for this god... and now that I'm typing this out, this "god" being, making me feel bad about myself could have certainly contributed to the depression I suffer now, yeah so on that front... Fuck you god!!

I am the eye in the sky,
looking at you,
I can read your mind,
I am the maker of rules,
dealing with fools,
I can cheat you blind.
And I don't need to see any more to know that,
I can read your mind.

--[Alan Parsons Project]

Mainly because I was convinced that god hated me, so I hated him back, I always thought if I met god, he'd better explain why I was given such a crappy hand, i used to be sooo selfish...

but that faded too...

then one day whilst in my teens i was asked if I believed in god.. I said that I didn't really believe in god and the reply to my statement was "oh.. so you're an atheist?" ... so I said "atheist? what's that?" ... as I was an un-christian, or a non-practicing catholic .. but I always happily admitted to being a Rooooman Catholic, because it sounds so much more... hmmm, Roman? Bloody Romans!

A true atheist probably wouldn't even realise that they were an atheist, just like a christian should never tell you that they are christian, their actions should speak for themselves.

HAIL SATAN

Oh of course, because I don't believe in your god that makes me an agent of Satan...

of course it does... *rolls*eyes*

since I don't believe in one of your gods, you expect me to believe in the other god you flap your mouth about, Satan? If it wasn't for Satan there'd be no evil, right? And if there was no evil, there wouldn't be any good, so god would be out of a job, right? ... christians must love SATAN so much.... right? gotta keep that evil around, just so we can have good.... right??? that's why god won't kill Satan, he'd be out of a job, and who's going to hire god after that?

"Oh, yeah Mr God, I'm afraid, that you are over qualified for this job, it says here you made the universe, well, we just want you to flip burgers and fry chips, I'm afraid you will be rather frustrated in the limited scope of the position we have on offer.."

Right about the same time as first hearing the term "atheist" at least in reference to me - i was into heavy metal and with my fading hate for god, I really got into the likes of Slayer and lots of others that escape my brain at the moment.

oh and I *still* think it's fucking hilarious that the term "atheist" even *exists* - the default position is complete ignorance of god. think about it, if somehow you were cut off from every person who had heard of god and you grew up not knowing about this god thing *at*all* - how would you know about god? I mean you could suspect that there might be some sort of super being, but you wouldn't have the mental image of an old-man-in-the-sky-daddy-christian-Michelangelo's-painting-in-the-Cistern-Chapel god who loves you but at one stage killed everyone on earth and that we are all inbred seeing how we came from one man and one woman, now would you? hmmm?

So Satan was my buddy, because all the music i listened to was evil, it was great... but nobody really cared, they were disturbed sure, but no more so than for any other strange thing kids do to act out, in fact my mother liked a lot of the heavy mental music i liked....

but if anything, my time as a heavy mental fan, ahem, heavy *metal* fan, taught me that the children of the beast in the seasons of whither, should stand and deliver, and be strong, and laugh, and Shout at the Devil...

we are not learning from history ... (historant)

i've heard it often said that "the victor writes history in their favour" or something like that ...

yet it seems that we are too arrogant to think that the history we know is wrong

often history is written with the facts of events presented accurately - but people are too stupid to ask what happened because of these events...

"oh look Helen, look what the bad guys did back in the bad old days".. that's how history is presented, it's presented as a shiny object, all the dull rusty sharp edges are smoothed over..

people need to ask *why* did these things happen in the first place ...

have you ever seen two kids fighting and the big kid has stomped the little kid, and because the little kid gets a broken bloody nose, ie. the little kid was hurt the worst, so nobody stops to ask what the little kid did.. they just think the big kid was being a big meanie, because the big kid, has been known to be a meanie in the past...

now the big kid maintains that his attack was perfectly justified, but no-one wants to hear why any more, because the little kid has cried so much and was so hurt and so mutilated and so humiliated, that *everyone* instantly picks on the big kid, and ridicules him and makes jokes and mocks him but ...

still ...

nobody asked the big kid why he broke the little kid's nose by giving him a good punch, and eventually the tale of the little kid being punched by the big kid becomes so large, that no-one gives a rats arse about why the big kid did what he did, because that it would ruin the warm and fuzzy story.

why ruin the truth, with those pesky other points of view?

but eventually some people do ask, well kind of, they have to read the history books about the event, because it's too late now, as the big kid has long since died, and these curious people ask the question...

"Why did the big kid hit the little kid?"

and it turns out that somebody did have a different take on the "history" of that event, as it is rumoured that the little kid had taken the big kid's money, in fact, the little kid, had taken the big kid's entire family's fortune, the big kid's family were broke and starving and had nowhere to sleep.

But often when you ask why and what happened, the little kids start asking you why you are being pro-big kid?.... they even have laws put in place, to protect the little kids from the big kids.

I'm not saying that the big kid did the right thing, far from it, but nobody saw what the little kid did, so a useful perspective on the events is often reduced to rumours, so all we see, is the seemingly over the top display of the big kid's retaliation.

But in my experience, the measure of the retaliation is usually in some sort of proportion to the initial event that caused the apparently over the top reaction.

just say, all the little kids had been taking money from the big kids for decades, and the big kids have just stood back and let the little kids look after the money they took. But each blow has a wearing down effect on the big kids and eventually, the big kids were scrambling to eat, to clothe and house their families...

in fact the whole big kid country is now in economic down turn, because the little kids have all the money

then one day...

a little kid, tries to take the big kids money again, and then one of the big kids says "NO! THAT'S ENOUGH!!"....

and then the little kids get upset, but they have so much money now, that they can screw over the big kids, by getting all the little kids all over the world to pick on the big kids, in fact, they are so rich now, they can hire other big kids to pick on the initial big kids, on their behalf.

President Barack Obama launched an extraordinary attack on the Supreme Court on Saturday, saying a ruling on corporate donations to political campaigns this week "strikes at democracy itself."

Obama's broadside was triggered by a 5-4 ruling by the court's justices on Thursday that removed long-standing campaign finance limits and allowed corporations to spend freely in campaigns for president and Congress. In the ruling, the court's conservative majority said the limits had violated corporations' constitutional right to free speech.

extreme believer arrogance - miracles/prophecies ... (religiorant)

this is an extension of a previous blog about "just how dumb are believers?" ...

PROPHECIES? .. WHERE?

I *laugh* at every prophecy ... well, i roll my eyes at least as most prophecies aren't worth the energy it takes to laugh and frankly - they aren't all that funny

seriously, what prophecies have come true? I'm thinking they are all, lies? affirmations? mantras? hoaxes? ahem ... perhaps, BULLSHIT, is the right term?

why do people even need these predicted events? if they look forward to some prophecy fulfilment, are they not demonstrating that they lack faith by needing these "events" to provide some sort of validation to their faith?

and what if it *does* come true? will they then say, "told you so!" in selfish arrogance?

if Jesus returned tomorrow after 2000yrs of his followers saying that he'll be back "soon" - it better be fucking good, I expect at least Metallica or Foo Fighters as a support act, or Boston or Toto.. TOOL would be a good support act for Jesus. Nirvana should not be too much of a tall order for Jesus to get as a support act either. hey? alright! do it!

every single prophecy I heard of that has "come true", has merely been true because the person telling the story wanted it to be true with their vague interpretations of events.

if a prophecy was actually true, would we not learn about it in school?

"...and in history class today kids, we're going to learn about Jesus, who rose from the dead, and saved the world from nasty sinners so that we may be here today."

and even if by some stretch of the imagination, you can say that maybe there is some similarity between a prophecy and real events.... well.... so what? what's the big deal?

what prophecy that's supposedly come true has been of any consequence anyway? .. oh i hear you, standing up the back, shouting, "Jesus came true!!!" .. sit down and shut up, because by your own faith's reckoning, Jesus became some super god dude and all that jazz, of his *own* accord!

Did we need a prophecy to make Jesus come about, did we?

and what difference does any prophecy coming true have to do with anything anyway? does it makes some difference to having faith or not?

Jesus' return has been on the cards for nearly 2000 years, listening to christians going on about the return of their lord is akin to listening to someone brag that they are going to win the lotto, every week, but then after fifty years of bragging, the guy finally wins, and then becomes *insufferable* with the bragging of saying "told you so", all the while forgetting that he spent twice as much money than he won.

MIRACLE SCHMIRACLE

miracles? I say miracle schmiracle, what's that you say, one person inexplicably had their cancer totally disappear? one person? that's it?!

fuck the religious and their grasping for every shred of justification for their embarrassing fantasies...

can we aim a little higher people? perhaps, just a little bit? we can do baby steps if need be.... hmmm?

*sigh*

a "Real" miracle would be finding cures for diseases and developing crops that could grow in spite of harsh conditions, and then distributing that food to the entire world without care for making a profit out of it, as well as providing military support to dissuade looters and piracy of these foods and medicines... that'd be a fucking miracle!

Miracles are quick fixes of hope, the religious equivalent of a hit from the bong or line of coke, they fade soon enough, then you're back to how you were before.. looking for the next miracle fix just so you can feel all warm and fuzzy about hearing some ratification of this "faith" you claim to have...

people keep saying christ is going to return.. have you heard that story? I have, heaps of times, but it seems to remind me of that other story.... have you heard that other story, the boy who cried wolf?..

PROPHECIES AGAIN

.. but i'm sick of hearing about prophecies, oh yeah the rapture is going to strike in five minutes like a thief in the night, dude you said that like five minutes ago, and you said it yesterday, and last week, and it was actually the first thing you said to me when we "met" - so uhmm - howz about shutting the fuck up for a bit, hey?

this is another display of extreme arrogance, god returns to rapture *everyone* up and take them to heaven, well, who says *you* are a part of this "everyone" that is going to be raptured up to heaven, anyway? hmmm? Is this not an extreme self adulation to tell yourself that, out of the entire universe, that *YOU* are special, that *YOU* have somehow arbitrarily chosen the god that made the universe, even though there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of gods that "made the universe" ????

and what are these people saying and admitting to anyway? would they not rather the world continue on as it is? or would they be happy to see the world destroyed and have everyone wiped out except for the twenty or so people who are saved??

anyone who *wants* the rapture to happen can go fuck themselves - it's pretty simple to understand, and it can't be dumbed down much more, if you want the genocide of the human race to happen, you're a piece-of-shit-cunt-of-an-arsehole.

the genocide of the human race, is not something to look forward to you stupid cunts!!! fucking hell!! The Hitlers and the Stalins and the Maos killed millions of people - this Jesus of yours wants to KILL BILLIONS.

Hitler and Stalin and Mao all combined added together, cannot even hold a candle to this Jesus you keep going on about.

and why do people who say they look forward to the rapture get upset when you tell them to shut the fuck up?!?!? their reaction is like you told them to stop being a stupid cunt when all they said was that they were going for a walk down the street to get a loaf of bread.

I can't believe born-again-rapture-me-up-christians are so nonchalant with their verbal diarrhoea of the slaughtering of mankind in some final battle between good and evil.

How pathetic that you *want* every human on earth to be killed in a battle according to your selfish religious whims.

a battle which, mind you, only took place since we've been around, you know those fuckers, god and satan, could have done this whole final battle of few thousand billion years ago, but no, they decided to bicker after *we* arrived...

that's a bit suspicious don't choo think? just a bit of co-incidence, hey??

the final battle for all good and evil - which could have raged at any time in the last trillion to the power of a trillion years, just happened to start, right about the same time we began to tell stories about god and the devil! what's the chances of that?

DANG! what a co-incidence??!

you know if the bible is true, by some twisted version of the word "true", then this battle between good and evil, came about because of *us* - somehow us being here made things go bad, right? So if everything was hunky dory before we got here, and if there was no evil before us. can we assume that without the "black" of evil there isn't the "white" of good either, as everything would be a shade of grey with neither good nor bad around? that sounds very Buddha-ish .... Buddhism also just happens to be the only religion I can think of that doesn't have a god, another co inky dink.

so if *we* are the cause of all good and evil, it's just tiny baby steps to the conclusion that *we* made up the whole religion / god thing, isn't it?

well?

the eternal god? .... (religiorant)

if god has been around for eternity, how could god have made it to this point in time? *forever* is an *infinite* amount of time, right?

think of this, it's impossible to traverse an infinite path, you'd *never* finish, you would never even get half way, half of infinity, is still infinity, you would never even make it one trillionth of the way down that path, because one trillionth of infinity, is STILL infinity, so how did god get to this point in time having existed for an infinite amount of time before the universe was even created?

an INFINITE amount of time would never finish, so indeed how did this god make it to that point in time when the universe was made if there was an infinite amount of time before that point in time when the universe was created?? An infinite amount of time keeps going, there's no finish, right?

Only concepts like time and the literal nothing, can go forever...

if there's a god, it's only eternal because our minds are so puny they can't imagine infinity, well, some of us have minds that are so puny. in other words, the most likely reason that god is eternal, is because *we* say it is, otherwise a god of infinite age, just doesn't make sense, which is exactly what god is, non-sensible....

is this proof mankind made up god? the simple notion of god being of eternal and infinite age, rendering an eternal god occupying our realm at the same time the universe was made impossible?

if there is a god, it can't have spent an eternity in our realm being subject to linear time like we are, therefore any appearances of god are visits from a higher dimension, or something we've never experienced. Although, it's far more likely, those visits were made up by a puny mind in a puny prophet, with a puny dick, probably to try and impress some chick with a tall tale to make up for the lack of girth of said dick. ...

"hey baby, I'm a prophet, let me tell you about the time I met god!"

... the rest of the blog is just rambling ..

... rambling that may or may not help you deal with the concept, or your brain might just collapse and implode into a singularity which would probably wipe out the block you live on before it evaporated...

if god has any age at all, let alone an infinite age, time must have existed before god did.

right?

hmmm.. think of it this way... just say you had been alive forever ... did time come into existence when you thought of it? or at some stage in your linear journey through time, moment after moment, did you notice that there was a moment before that moment that you are currently experiencing and come up with the label of calling that passage from one moment to the next moment, "time"?

the passage of time is a concept, it doesn't have any physical attribute (that i am aware of), so it doesn't *need* to be created, same with the literal nothing, there is nothing to create, so "the nothing" can indeed stretch forever as there is nothing to stretch!

Sure you may have thought up the label "time" and understood the concept of moving from one moment to the next moment, but when you, as god, thought up that "time" label, that concept may have come into existence for you, but time was actually still passing before you thought it up. think of it this way, as god, you invent a watch, you put it on, you now know what the time it is, but just because you didn't invent the watch sometime previously, it doesn't mean that time didn't exist, it still passed, you just hadn't thought up the concept.

or did you *know* everything already? if you somehow knew everything that was to ever happen already, "forever" ago, where did that information come from? was your eternal brain pre-programmed with knowledge of all events to ever happen? if that is so, then somebody *created* *you* and your inability to remember before a certain moment in time is, because you, as god, didn't exist before that point in time, or your designer programmed you so that when you looked back through time in your memory, you recall nothing previous to a particular time, so the natural assumption is that you and that nothing were around forever.

let me explain:

imagine a computer program, you input a number of years ago into this program, and it spits out the number of stars in the universe. For every number you put into the program that is larger than say 15billion years, the answer that is evaluated by the program is "null", not *zero*, but *null* - meaning to say that there is no answer, except null isn't a number, so it's represented as zero, as essentially it does mean the same thing, so the answer you are given by this program beyond that point in time when the big bang happened, will be "zero stars".

Now imagine our god program, no matter how big a number you give it above the age of our universe, it gives you the answer zero. Now if you kept giving this program bigger and bigger numbers and it kept spitting out zero, the assumption would be that since it's giving you an answer then that god program was there to observe that point in time as it had an answer to give, even if that answer was nothing.

But the reality is that this program, was written only a few thousand years ago, and was written such that any answer beyond a certain large number of years, it gives out the same old answer over and over .. punch in one year, and you get a trillion trillion stars, punch in 10billion years, and you get a trillion stars, punch in 20billion years, you get zero stars, 100 trillion years you get zero stars.. and so on and so on, with every answer being zero previous to the big bang.

maybe time is god, urrr... god is time... whatever

OK OK you don't believe the logic of the infinite time thing

... OK then... how about if we ignore the illogical notion that somehow god has been alive forever and has been able to move through linear time, like us mortals do, then why hasn't this universe thing already happened already? did god not get around to making us until "recently"?? god's super special creation was so important that god waited just short of forever to create it? and what a BANG UP job god did, god had all that time to think about it ... but god comes up with us?

if god has been around forever, then why haven't we come and gone? if it's our destiny to come and go, then you'd think that sometime in the last million billion trillion quadrillion quintillion sextillion septillion (that's a 10 with 90 something zeroes after it) years that god would have done the whole creation thing already, and not just sometime in the last 15 billion years, right?

the chances that god made the universe, is one in infinity...

why do people believe in god?

SHORT BLOG

Q: Why do people believe in god?
A: Fear, or more specifically, the fear of the unknown.

LONG BLOG

it's built into our instincts that we worry about things, that ability to worry is how we eventually avoided being on the menu of predators, we became smarter than the other creatures with our ability to think ahead..

it was via the use of our imagination that we were able to avoid all the nasty things that we could dream up and hundreds of thousands of years ago, there was a legitimate need to worry about what was literally around the corner, because at any moment, we could be called on to defend our lives...

however, humans still haven't let go of that overpowering need to think that there's something just ahead that's going to get us, in spite of us having eliminated or identified how to avoid most of the things that actually could kill us, so today we have ended up making up a whole bunch of new things to be worried about that we should not actually *be* worried about.

For example, in a western society, there are not many places that I can think of where just leaving the house is likely to get you killed, so with our 'stable society', we start to use our thinking ahead abilities to worry about situations we can't control, eg. what other people think about us, the tides going in and out (*facepalm* at Bill O'Reilly), and that most uncontrollable thing of all, death...

so a belief in the fantastic god creature is created, and the basic premise of this belief is that it doesn't really matter when you die in this life, as you get to live forever if you believe a particular god story, and a blind belief in this story, allows the person to just let go of their irrational fears, because god, is taking care of those uncontrollable things...

in other words, only the weak minded believe in god because they lack the ability to come to terms with the unknown.

(ps. "weak minded" is as polite as I can be about it)

the key to irrational fears is to not struggle with them in the first place, just accept them, let them come and go, tell them to "go away" or laugh at them, rather than make up some even more irrational god story to displace them..

and that applies to all your irrational fears too, accept them, don't deny them, worrying about crap is *normal*, struggling with those fears is what is *abnormal*, your brain over thinking a situation is what will bring you down with its depressing lines of thought.

but the really bizarre thing is that this god creature is just a detached part of the ego of the believer, so a blind belief in god is a blind belief in one's own ego.

don't believe me?

think about all the "sins" that people commit during their lives, many of those will get your arse excluded from heaven *forever* with no hope for a reprieve, and yet, somehow, people think that their sins can be forgiven?

who would forgive your "sins" other than your own ego? Who else but your own ego could somehow justify all the the crap you have done in your life in such a way that your god would forgive you?? Who? Your ego, that's who...

and yet, it's the non-believers that get accused of worshipping themselves??

go figure!

and even if non-believers do worship themselves, at least the non-believer isn't pretending to impose god's will on others, as it's more honest to impose your own will, than it is to speak of your own will as if it were the will of god

ie. blind belief makes you your own personal Jesus

it's very hard to break any of your own commandments when you don't question the beliefs you've blindly accepted that your ego told you to believe.

and that's why people believe in god, it's also why god just happens to want exactly want the believer wants as well

UPDATED: just how dumb are believers? ... (religion v science)

additions marked --EDIT--

Why is everyone so fucking stupid? Why aren't more peopre interrigent, rike me?--[Kim Jong Il - "Team America"]

i gotta say people, this is just so fucking stupid i thought i'd share it with you -- this is why i love and hate talking to creationists

keep this in mind - if you don't know something - FUCKING ASK QUESTIONS - not asking questions means you are stupid, arrogant, selfish, too proud, too afraid, or some combination of them all.

there is nothing more pathetic in this world than someone who doesn't ask questions, except maybe for people who don't answer questions when asked or people who ask the same questions over and over again. (and yes, that makes us men who don't ask questions, stupid, but we knew this)

scientists must communicate their knowledge with the world - because if they don't share their knowledge - then that knowledge may as well not exist, because when they die, so does that knowledge, it's not like your brain can be downloaded after you die, at least not *yet*, so if you don't share your knowledge, then what's the point in being a scientist? oh and religious bullshit doesn't count as "knowledge", so don't feel obligated to share your "knowledge" about your religions of "peace"... what did Bill Hicks say?

"Beliefs are neat. Cherish them, but don't share them like they're the truth."
--[Bill Hicks]

anyway... i won't say who this is - what fun would that be? but I will mention that you may need to hold your brain in for this one....

Because of the spinning of the earth, the magma deep inside the earth is continuously condensing into the mantel just under the crust. The mantel cools down with pressure and becomes more solid than the magma under it which is more liquidized. This mantel becomes like the air tank being filled with too much air. It creates leaks once in a while because the pressure is enormous and that's why we have volcanic eruptions to let off some of the pressure, but one day, it won't be enough for just a few volcanic eruptions. There will be explosions that generate much bigger cracks for the magma to escape. The hardened mantel will become more liquid as the pressure begins to decrease so it will be much easier for it to come pouring out of the cracks in the crust and this will widen the cracks and melt the crust as it goes through. This process will take a long time but in the end, all the crust will be melted until all the pressure of the mantel is released and back to normal. Then a new crust will be made as the earth begins to cool down. This new earth is what the prophets and saints prophesied about but they didn't have all the details that I have. Being as we're much closer to the end, God gives his last saints the understanding of what is going to happen so they can warn the people around them.

Your just one of the few who will ever hear this prophecy.

January 3, 2010 - Sunday - 8:45 PM

*facepalms*

with the FIRST sentence, the entire premise is destroyed..

"Because of the spinning of the earth, the magma deep inside the earth is continuously condensing into the mantel just under the crust"

This great prophet (PBUH), is stating that the centrifugal force of the spinning of the earth, is pushing the magma up against the bottom of the crust of the earth, much like when you have, say, a litre or so of water in the bottom of a ten litre bucket, so if you were to spin and hold your arms out as you hold the bucket, the bucket would point outwards as you spun and eventually you'll spin fast enough such that the bucket would end up pointing directly away from you and you would see that the water at the bottom of the bucket is being held in place by the g-forces created by your spinning ...

fair enough... we do know that the force pushing upwards via centrifugal force, however small, actually does exist...

however...

you are able to spin a lot faster and create more centrifugal g-forces in comparison to the gravity you naturally produce. ie. the gravitational field that you create just by standing there is practically non-existent, you have so little gravity yourself, that water isn't even attracted to you when you are at rest. Try it, pour a bucket of water over your head and see how much of that water stays in orbit around you.

now the earth on the other hand, with all that mass that actually caused the water to fall on your head instead of floating about in bubbles through the sky, produces far less centrifugal force in comparison to the gravity it produces.

The proof is, hold that bucket of water above your head, point it down with the open end pointing at you and hold it there with one hand. Did the bucket stay above your head like it did when you were spinning around?

You can even do this experiment without the bucket, i recommend you go outside for this one.

Now, just stand around for a minute.

Did you take careful note of the empirical evidence concerning how you were NOT FLUNG into outer space?

There's your proof.

Centrifugal force, even though it exists, is easily drowned out by the gravitational field of the earth and considering that the Earth's crust is relatively thin compared to the radius of the Earth, the gravity levels in the mantle regions, would be barely different as most of the mass of the Earth is in the iron core anyway...

Of course, I won't mention that if the earth was ACTUALLY spinning this fast when it was being formed, well, it never would have formed in the first place, as the accretion disk from which the earth was formed, would have torn itself apart every time it tried to form. Think of one of those mini carousel things you can get for the dinner table so you can put on salt/pepper/sauce so anyone at the table can rotate them around to the thing they want. If you rotate these carousels slowly, everything stays on board, but if you give them a big spin, every thing goes flying off the carousel, because the mass of the carousel is not enough to keep the items in place (actually, friction keeps the items in place, but the effect is the same. gravity keeps you in place on the earth, and friction keeps the items on the rotating carousel in place). Or a roulette wheel, how the ball rolls around the outside of the wheel until it slows down enough for the earth's gravity to plonk the ball into a slot...

need I say more about the first sentence??

now with the SECOND sentence, mantel does NOT cool down with pressure, it heats up and ... oh never mind .... i won't bore you, the rebuttal to the first sentence was only meant to be a paragraph or two!!

my reply to this guy was something along the lines of that I won't explain just how *wrong* he was... I also didn't miss his BLASPHEMY of calling himself a "saint" either..

I've seen a few people call themselves saints, how do people get this up-themselves? fuck that annoys and baffles me. You're supposed to die in order to get a Sainthood, right?

I bet these are the arseholes who didn't pay attention in school, that they are the bastards that thought it'd be cool to skip class.. i bet these are the guys who made fun of the smart kids

revenge is quite sweet, yeah I remember you, no i don't want fries with that..

---EDIT---

for reference this is the actual reply to this guy... it seemed a waste to not actually put the information out into the world, it's just a rehash of the above, but more "polite" ...

I lied - I will explain - but I'm only going to explain how you are wrong for your first sentence .. i hope you understand...

"Because of the spinning of the earth, the magma deep inside the earth is continuously condensing into the mantel just under the crust"

what you are stating is that the centrifugal force of the spinning of the earth, is pushing the magma up against the bottom of the crust of the earth, right? much like when you have, say, a litre or so of water in the bottom of a ten litre bucket, so if you were to spin and hold your arms out as you hold the bucket, the bucket would point outwards as you spun and eventually you'll spin fast enough such that the bucket would end up pointing directly away from you and you would see that the water at the bottom of the bucket is being held in place by the g-forces created by your spinning ...

fair enough... we do know that the force pushing upwards via centrifugal force, however big or small, actually does exist...

however...

you are able to spin a lot faster and create more centrifugal g-forces in comparison to the gravity you naturally produce, so the water in the bucket stays where it is because your mass isn't anywhere near enough to draw it towards you. ie. the gravitational field that you create just by standing there is practically non-existent, and is easily overwhelmed by centrifugal forces of your spinning.

now the earth on the other hand, with all that mass, produces far less centrifugal force in comparison to the gravity it produces because it's not spinning fast enough like you can to overcome the effects of gravity

The proof is, hold that bucket of water above your head, point it down with the open end pointing at you and hold it there with one hand. Did the water stay in the bucket and did the bucket stay above your head in the same way that the bucket and the water was held in place while you were spinning around?

You can do this experiment without the bucket, for what you seem to be saying about the spinning causing the magma to reach the surface, that spinning would probably also be fast enough to fling you into space. Remember it's got to be strong enough to break through the crust, but you're standing on top of the crust, there would be nothing stopping you from being flung into the air

remember how the bucket tried to "escape" from you as you spun around by pointing directly away from you? To get a similar effect with the earth, it would need to be spinning just as fast to overcome it's gravity. (relatively speaking)

think of it this way, you need to spin once every second or two to get the bucket to at least start to point away from you, so for the centrifugal forces of the spinning of the earth to over power the earth's gravity, the earth would need to be rotating much much faster than it is

i won't bore you with the math - but the centrifugal force is something like 350 times weaker than gravity at the earth's surface, which means the earth would need to rotate at about 8km/s a second at the equator, we currently rotate at 0.463 km/s .. which means the day would have to be something like 80 minutes long, and that's just to balance centrifugal forces against gravity at the earth's surface

http://en.allexperts.com/q/Physics-1358/Gravity-Centrifugal-Force-Earth.htm (for the math)

Centrifugal forces, even though they exist, are easily drowned out by the gravitational field of a planet, and considering that the Earth's crust is a relatively thin (~0-40km roughly) compared to the radius of the Earth (~6400km), the gravity levels in the mantle and magma regions up to 500km under the crust (the region i assume you meant), would be barely different as most of the mass of the Earth is towards the core anyway... eg. the heavier elements sink

so having said all that, if the earth was spinning this fast when it was being formed, it never could have formed in the first place, as the disk of rocks and gases from which the earth was formed, would have flung itself apart every time it tried to form. if somehow the earth came to spin that fast today, well, it certainly would be interesting, but i can't think of anything that could do that without ripping the earth apart in the process

Think of one of those mini carousel things you can get for the dinner table so you can put on salt/pepper and stuff on, so anyone at the table can rotate them around to the thing they want. If you rotate these carousels slowly, everything stays on board, but if you give them a big spin, every thing goes flying off the carousel, because the mass of the carousel (actually it's the friction of the object on the surface that keeps the items in place, but let's pretend that's the friction has the same effect as gravity for this example) is not enough to keep the items in place.

Or a roulette wheel, how the ball rolls around the outside of the wheel until it slows down enough for the earth's gravity to plonk the ball into a slot... that ball was able to stay on the outside when it was going fast but when it slowed down, gravity over took it and pulled it back down

for the rest of what you said, google convection currents, tectonic stresses, shifting continental plates, stuff like that should get you going, and volcanoes appear near fault lines a lot, google "pacific ring of fire" to show you what I mean, have a read, it's fascinating

see!!! i can be nice... FUCK YOU!! LOL!

--EDIT--

but here's what the fucking ungrateful dumbarse said back .. i bet he didn't "get" any of what I said, it's not like I could dumb it down any more..

I won't be around to watch you hold back the lava pouring out of the earth so keep this information for yourself. Scientists think too much instead of looking for the truth. The truth will tell you everything that's coming our way.

God bless you,
Brad

god bless me? i told that fucktard to keep his blessings to himself ... what an ungrateful little bitch, bring back the Roman fucking Empire ... the *Real* one ... not the bullshit one Constantine screwed up ...

seriously - if these people don't want to learn - then they ONLY go to atheism and non-believer blogs to FUCKING MESS WITH YOU

block them, block them all... what is "christian - other" anyway? what fucking church do I need to talk to to get their members excommunicated??

the church of the born again loser?

seriously - what is the matter .. oh wait.. god delusion.. they think they *are* god.. they just don't realise they think they are god

non-believer tolerance of believers? TAKE 3 (religiorant)

sometime in the past couple of weeks, someone said something about non-believers tolerating believers, not sure who it was, but it got me thinking, so thank you if these ideas seem familiar... .... sorry this is so long (and this is part three), not sure if the other two parts aren't too over the top (yes, even for me)...

but the opposite argument, "should believers be tolerant of non-believers?" should have been a no contest, right?

After all, those religions of love and peace and happiness and togetherness and TOLERANCE should not even be thinking about *if* they will tolerate non-believers, as they have already, via the proxy of their religion, declared that they will be tolerant. well that's what I keep reading into the hidden meaning when they say that theirs "is a religion of peace" ..

so, the question is

should non-believers be tolerant of believers?

it seems a rather innocuous and simple question... but in terms of the argument against religion, I think this is *the* killer because, let's face it, believers are *not* tolerant of non-believers, and even though that statement doesn't apply to the majority of the religious, the intolerance shown by the mega-religious minority is so prevalent and so outspoken and so often stupid and so offensive that they can't be ignored... why?

stupidity is contagious

stupidity and deferring to what somebody tells you to think caused the frikking dark ages ... not thinking for yourself is dangerous. The bible is a perfect example - nobody asks *WHY* any of the things are the way they are in the bible. Why did Satan attack heaven? Why is it an abomination for this and that? Why did god send Jesus? Why did god punish Job for no particular reason? Why did god wipe out all life on the entire planet? Why did he let the fallen angels breed with humans.. why why why

so my answer off the top of my head in a knee jerk reaction, is to answer the question with

"why should we be tolerant of believers?" ..

CONTEXT, IT'S ALL ABOUT CONTEXT

but first, let's put the whole argument out there and establish some context so we can see why we shouldn't have to tolerate "believers"...

and i want to establish precedence (who was there first) in this blog because the religionists have often told me that because their religion has been around for so long that it's *the* religion and it's the right one, of course. I've even read people claim that Islam is the oldest religion, because it has it's roots with that Adam and Eve story.

*****

tolerance - in general terms - would at least in part seem to be the task of the person who was there first, in that they have to tolerate their environment changing around them, right? This includes, the weather, some new person showing up, anything that involves changes really...

I mean, you could show up later on, and have to tolerate the people that were there before you, but, do you really have a right to complain? Even if their customs are brutal? Islam is exactly what I mean, if we go to their country we *must* obey their laws and respect their customs, the same should be expected from them when they come to our country, right?

So we have a precedence where the persons being there first have the most right to want to keep things the way they are, because everything was fine until the change happened, or indeed, give permission for a new way of things to happen, if in fact the new guy coming along has a great idea that would benefit everyone.

analogy: you're standing there at the bus stop, minding your own business whilst looking at the no-smoking sign, along comes some dickhead, stands beside you, lights up a cigarette, and the smoke starts getting in your face... it's not a nice experience. Now you can either:

a) tolerate and ignore it ( "passive tolerance" )
b) tolerate it but tell him to observe the signs in the future ( "active tolerance" )
c) have a word to the fellow to observe the signs *and* cut it out ( "active intolerance" )
d) you can move so you are not downwind of the smoke ( "passive intolerance" )

(( i made up that passive/active/tolerance/intolerance thing (at least i think i did) so if it's stupid, tell me ))

another analogy: think of a sports stadium, we would assume a sporting stadium was to be used for sports, right? so if some clown comes along and wants to make a church out of it and they go about making this happen, do we tolerate this? we say "no! go build your church in the empty lot down the road" .. but just say this stadium, has a big conference room, and the local churchies want to turn just that room into a church for one day a week.. sure, we can tolerate that much, it's only for Sundays anyway. but the point is that the stadium was there first, so logically, it's up to the new person coming along to adapt to the way things are or to get permission from the current owners, if they don't adapt to how things are or are refused permission, then they can go away, right?

well I guess if they were bigger they could just stomp on you and do what they want anyway, and in this case, I would call this "forced tolerance"

IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS

so in the grand scheme of things, we start with a planet - life grows, people eventually arrive .. they walk around, do stuff ... then somebody got the bright idea that their was an invisible entity who made it all

is that logical as to what happened first?

did humans know about god first (belief) or did the *lack* of human speculation about god (non-belief) happen first?...

how can it be anything but non-belief coming first?

oh i hear you - you're saying that back then humans weren't smart enough to think of the concept of god, oh wait... you aren't saying that we became "human" the moment we thought up god, are you? are you saying that we are not human, unless we embrace god? your god?

that's the message I get from the religious who want everyone to convert to their way ... why is their way better? why must they insist on me being religious as well?

and fuck you if you're going to say that "I just need to read the bible" .. let me save you that conversation with me

nut: You need to believe in Jesus
me: Why?
nut: So you can be saved
me: Saved from what?
nut: From hell!
me: oh? so how do I believe in Jesus?
nut: you need to read the bible
me: but I did read the bible, that's *why* I'm a non-believer
nut: oh!! you just need to believe in Jesus when you read the bible..
me: wait... uhmmm.. so in order to believe in Jesus, I need to read the bible, but I have to believe in Jesus when I read the bible?
nut: YES!

*face*palms* and that's the simplified version

and i'm serious, these people are out there on the 'net as I've had that sort of conversation several times - i suspect most of the religious don't actually get into this conversation in the first place - because the religious majority are slightly less blinded by Jesus Christ why don't you come save my life now, open my eyes blind me with your light now.

ALL RELIGION IS BULLSHIT

when someone talks about a religious "truth" that isn't verifiable, they are speaking bullshit, plain and simple.

this bullshit may make them feel warm and fuzzy, but this is clearly NOT tolerance, because if they want me to convert, then they are being INTOLERANT because if they were actually being tolerant they would TOLERATE me not being a religious person ....

and i don't give a flying fuck if people care what happens to my eternal soul - I don't know these people who say these scary things like this and they don't know me, how do I know that they are sincere and not speaking bullshit? conversely, how do they know I am worthy of this salvation anyway? - and if my eternal soul is as important a thing as the religious make it out to be, then I'm not going to base any decision regarding my eternal soul by listening to some fucking crackpot who is speaking utter bullshit.

I'm not going to tolerate bullshit and then be expected to base my view of the after life on said bullshit.

These people may think that they mean well, but I'm sure Jesus did not want you to obsess over all of this. It's not healthy at all to believe in such stories as if they are reality, this is no different to these "gamers" who play online twenty hours a day or play old school Dungeons and Dragons for weekends at a time. These nuts are no different to Tolkien obsessed fans who think that the tales of Middle Earth are ancient history and is actually a place that can be visited in New Zealand because that's where the *movie* was filmed. (and yes it's probably not healthy for me to go on this much about religion, and no i don't actually know of any people who think Lord of the Rings is a lost part of the history of the world.)

It's like the imaginations in these people have been tripped or tricked into overdrive and they can't shut them off. Instead of having an imagination that roams the universe, they have an imagination that only dwells on the one thing and when you obsess over the one thing, that fantasy will be very close to being part of your reality. Which reminds of that episode of Buffy where she is in a mental hospital and her Slayer life is a delusion that consumes her so much she doesn't realise she's in a mental hospital and the episode is about her brief return to reality.

When people speak bullshit like they are speaking out from the depths of their delusional state of mind as if their fantasies are fact, of course i'm intolerant, because bullshitters wanting me to believe their bullshit SCREAMS to me that whatever it is they are on about is not to be believed, and that doesn't just apply to religion, that applies to everything in life.

No I don't want to change long distance carriers, No I don't want to subscribe to the "new watchoomacallit widgets" ... keep going on about it and i'll take an active part in denying it ... or in the case of a nuisance companies calling me up repeatedly, they get reported to the authorities for being a nuisance.

So why can't I contact the christian church and get them to tell all the christians to fuck off and leave me the fuck alone???? If the religious repeatedly try to convert me to christianity/islam/whatever, should I not have the right to sue the church for harassment? I'm surprised that I've not heard of someone doing that in the USA actually ...

SO TO CONCLUDE

telling me i'm a sinner - INTOLERANCE

telling me I'm going to hell - INTOLERANCE

telling me I need Jesus - is INTOLERANCE

tell me I need Allah - that's INTOLERANCE

tell me to read the bible/koran - that's INTOLERANCE too

telling me that god loves me - more INTOLERANCE, and you might as well tell me that a pile of shit loves me, and in that case, at least shit is real

telling me anything about your religion - especially when it's not the topic of conversation - is INTOLERANCE

not answering questions about your religion - INTOLERANCE

not answering questions HONESTLY about your religion - more INTOLERANCE

trying to convert me to your bullshit - extreme INTOLERANCE

speaking bullshit and then claiming that bullshit as an answer to a question INTOLERANCE

and this is SIMPLY because I believe in NONE of that shit, because it is ALL BULLSHIT as none of it is verifiable.

If Jesus was such a big wig, then why isn't Jesus plastered all over the history books? and don't tell me about Josephus or whatever his name was, from what I understand of "Josephus" - what he said about "Jesus" amounts to a paragraph or two. That's hardly an independent verification of the Jesus character we know. and yes it's likely Jesus did exist, but whether he is anything like the tales told is another completely different matter.

but what about the opposite, the scientific point of view? (my opposite POV to religion is reason, logic and science) What about when I talk about the moons of Saturn, or stellar nucleosynthesis, am I being intolerant by speaking about things that other people don't "believe" in? Well if these other people have better ideas or more accurate information than me, then I want to hear what they have to say, which would seem to me to be *tolerance*.

The scientific point of view is always open to change, so by it's own definition, the scientific point of view is tolerant as it is open to change, with new concepts, refinements of old ones. more so, if someone can show science is wrong, then they are welcome to "bring it on" if you will.

Knowing you are wrong is just as big a deal as knowing you are right when it comes to science. IF you know something is wrong, you don't try that option again, so it's a good thing to keep your failures on record with science to stop you wasting time on that failed option in the future.

But religion, it's *all* stories, stories which are not supposed to change and things that will not change are INTOLERANT, if they do not change or adapt, how can they be tolerant? Fuck! even a rock will wear away after thousands of years...

any assumption about the complete fantasy that is religion, is being INTOLERANT .. because the ultra-religious assume that the bullshit that they speak is fact, *AND* they expect everyone else to observe their bullshit as fact as well.. Moses is no fact, Allah is no fact. god is no fact, Gabriel, Uriel, Lucifer... none of these things are facts.

Stories change, even recent events may not be reported accurately, I've seen plenty of bullshit on Fox News, no doubt the masses suck all that bullshit up like a sponge ... and these dumb arses are proud of their intolerance, or perhaps it's more accurate to say that they are oblivious of their intolerance.

oh but religion does good things ...

religion had *BETTER* fucking do "good things" - but there is still an imbalance in the ledger because of the THOUSAND YEARS of intellectual vacuum ... the balance is sorely in favour of the religious making it up to the rest of us for all of their bullshit throughout history, at least for another thousand years...

so the tolerance ledger, would seem to be in favour of the non-believers.

it's everyone's obligation to stop the spread of bullshit - and that's not just applicable to religion - global warming - communism - evolution - outer space - socialism - health care - I've heard lots of bullshit from people who think that they are "experts" because they read one article or they hahahahah fucking saw it on Faux News...

THE END BIT

just say a child starts speaking rubbish, perhaps the kid is saying that panda bears are from Antarctica - you do not stand there and let the child speak bullshit do you?? - "uhmmm no little Billy, panda bears are actually from mountainous regions of Tibet and China" .. if the child keeps talking about utter rubbish, you ask the kid where they go to get their stupid ideas from... and then you tell this person to stop filling this kid's head with bullshit or if it's their kid, you can feel free to laugh at the parent as they don't give a shit about their kid's future if they teach them bullshit.

by *not* ridiculing them, you *encourage* their stupidity... inaction breeds stupidity

Without trying to belittle the circumstances of homeless people, I often wonder if the homeless people I see are these dumbarses who won't accept reality, speaking bullshit doesn't put food on your table. speaking bullshit and believing it doesn't get you pass grades in school, you want to be serving fries with that for the rest of your life? do you want to end up on the street, unskilled? untrained? scrounging and begging passers-by for change? is that what you want? the world is getting smarter, being a lazy piece of dumbarse shit *will* see you out in the street - COUNT ON IT - although that is no exclusive prerequisite for being out on the street by any means...

giving believers and their bullshit a wide berth retards the intellectual development of the entire human population, because dumbarses tend to breed and pass on their idiocy to the rest of their blood line. Accurate knowledge takes hard work and effort, spouting your mouth off speaking gibberish is EASY, and bullshit should not be tolerated,

*ever*!

Eventually this religious majority will be the people who will be dragging the chain - they will be the unskilled masses of people *demanding* cheaper health care for everyone - and when all those crops fail because of global warming (yes it *is* going to happen) - it will be these bastards who will demand that we - the scientists - save their collective arses by providing cheaper electricity - atmospheric moisture extractors because it never quite rains, think of the Earth ending up like Tatooine ...

i leave it to you how to deal with the idiots... you don't have to not be nice about it.... humour helps.... double negatives too ... and if you are religious and you managed to read all of that... ^_^

The Book of Job, South Park style

Gerald: Hello, Kyle. How's the hemorrhoid today?

Kyle: Awesome.

Sheila: Kyle, we wanna tell you about the book of Job. It's a story from the Bible.

Kyle: I've had enough of the Bible. What has it gotten me?

Gerald: Oh, I think you'll see differently after hearing this. Sit down, Kyle. Uh, okay. You see, Job lived in the east of Jordan a long long time ago. Job was a great man. He was blessed with ten lovely children, a wonderful wife, and many friends.

Sheila: He was godly, and a good man, and fed the poor.

Gerald: He was the most upright and honorable of men, and every day he praised God.

Sheila: But one day, Satan went up to heaven and talked to God.

Kyle: Satan talked to God?

Sheila: Yes, in the book of Job, Satan talks to God. And God says to Satan, "Have you seen Job? He is a great man, and he praises me every day."

Gerald: But Satan said, "Oh yeah? He only praises you because you gave him so much. If you didn't give him those things, he would curse your name."

Sheila: To which God said, "Oh yeah? I'll show you, Satan! I'll take those things away from Job and he will still praise my name."

Gerald: And so, God had a bunch of barbarians come in and slaughter Job's oxen and donkeys, and murder all his workers.

Sheila: Then God sent his fireballs from the sky and killed his sheep and the rest of his employees.

Gerald: And then, as Job's sons and daughters were eating, God sent a mighty wind to collapse the house and crush and kill them all.

Sheila: Job was terribly sad, but he fell to his knees and said, "The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away," and praised God's name.

Gerald: So then, Job got painful sores all over his body.

Sheila: He was in terrible, miserable pain all day, every day. But he still kept his faith.

Gerald: God said to Satan, "See? I told you. Job still praises me."

Kyle: And that's it? That's the end?

Sheila: Basically.

Kyle: That's the most horrible story I've ever heard. Why would God do such a horrible thing to a good person just to prove a point to Satan?

Gerald: Oh. Uhhh, I don't know.

Kyle: Then I was right. Job has all his children killed, and Michael Bay gets to keep making movies. There isn't a God.

The Atheist Jesus ... (religohumour)

and it continues .... i'm still seeing stupid christians believing that atheists have no moral centre whatsoever ...

what a heap of shit, let me do an experiment

are you religious?

what's that? you are?

are you dead?

what's that? you're not?

well then, you can shut the fuck up as the atheist plot to exterminate the entire non-atheist population of planet Earth has either:

a) failed
b) hasn't started yet
c) doesn't exist

hmmpp???

you see, there's this dude, right, and he's pretty damn cool .. i think you might have heard of him .. his name is

JESUS

he's the christian dude up on the cross with the nails right? well, here's something that I've noted from practically every non-believer that I have encountered, that they adhere to this simple philosophy...

"Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you..."

it's actually a simplification of what Jesus said but let's keep it simple.. maybe all us non-believers can be a little less scary by being christathiestians??

LOL!! bahhahahah!

defender ... pretender ... (religiorant)

the lengths to which you go to defend your faith, merely exposes the degree to which you pretend to have faith...

If you have faith, what's the problem?

If you have faith, prove it.

If you have faith, why do you need evidence outside of it?

If you have faith, how can science conflict with it?

Hmmmp???

If you don't have faith, but still pretend to anyway, then you're no better than us scientific folk, but welcome to planet Earth anyway. Keep your arms and legs inside the carriage at all times and enjoy the ride.

I hope the fall off your high-horse didn't injure you too much, the pressure adjustment and the enriched oxygen levels down here with us mere mortals can make you dizzy, but don't panic, it'll pass, as you get used to it .. next step, is to stop lying to yourself now that you have openly admitted to the rest of us that you lack the very thing you are touting.

"Just relax for a moment. You're free of the carbonite. ... You have hibernation sickness ... Your eyesight will return in time."

I forget where I read all this stuff so - excuse any technically vague inaccuracies!! another rant, rather nasty one with Nazi and Jew jokes and everything... i think my writings are becoming sloppy because these blogs take so long that the "flow" gets messed up .. i spend ages trying to research this shit - so in actual fact, this is an interpretation of the bible, by someone who doesn't just believe whatever it is they are reading ... eg. it's blasphemy - but who is to say the bible itself isn't blasphemy?? if you are that person, then HELLO JESUS!! I didn't know you were reading my blogs!! good to have you on board

and i have actually researched this having read heaps of "Satanic" material over the last couple of decades, but I did stop short of reading the whole Satanic Bible, now that I have it, probably because I realised that it made *sense* ... that was just too freaky for me to read anything that made sense that had the word "Bible" in it's title - even if the other word was "Satanic"! ... so - surprise surprise surprise (think Gomer Pyle) - Satan is probably my favourite bit of the christian story... so

HAIL . SATAN!!

i keep finding/hearing/reading statements that Satan was commanded to watch over the earth.. i thought that that was how i remembered it too, I think it was in the story of where Satan tempts Jesus in the desert, but i can't find the relevant bible verse to hit people about the head with it now .. but it kind of implies it here in Job as well...

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

but one thing i will note from my Satanic journey (LOL!!!), is that i did find that it was apparently Gadrel, and not Satan, who tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden.. allegedly

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Enoch#Names_of_the_fallen_angels

I mean you can't argue with wikipedia, especially when they don't explicitly list the source of this Gadrel story..

I'd never heard of Gadrel before - but it also seems that there is a lot of non-canon texts related to the bible - why weren't they added? - the bible was already confusing so why not go the whole hog? Or was that the point? Create enough gaps in the story to fuck everyone around, so they keep coming back to read the bible, to try and find its "hidden" secrets, where you read until you read what it is that you want to read, even though you have read that exact same verse or verses dozens of times????

BASIC . MATHEMATICS

this christian mob, they give Satan a bad rap - don't you think? I think I blogged this before but Satan/Devil/Lucifer is mentioned in the bible like a hundred times *less* than Jesus and god - you'd think Satan was mentioned on every page of the bible the way some people go on about it.. like me! haha.. it just occurs to me that I've read every verse that has "Satan" or "Lucifer" and probably "devil" ... so from my point of view it's about fifty-fifty between the evil verses with Satan in them and the rest of them I've read!

and let's do some more basic math shall we? in the bible, god kills something like 2.3 million people - Satan kills something like TEN! I mean come on!! Oh I googled it and there was this clown saying "oh but god *gave* life in the first place" - i reeooollled my eyes and discontinued reading - so it's OK to take a life if you created it? while I won't argue that point, i ainst takin' sides either!

so a killing ratio of about two hundred thousand to one when u compare god to Satan in the bible hey? and if I'm not mistaken, god said Satan could kill the ones that he did kill!!

so excuse me, it is clear to me that this Satan dude is nowhere near as big a demon as god is!!!!

FUCKING . WHAT!! . WHY? . (aka Hitler V god)

see, this is another thing that makes me say *why* when it comes to the bible????

that "why" question in full being "why the fuck do people believe this shit?!?!" it's like making Charlie Manson the hero of the story, or HITLER!! Mein Fuhrer is the hero of the holocaust... oh if it wasn't for Hitler the Jews wouldn't have gotten the holy land so we give praise unto Hitler.. not!

god is way worse than Hitler - and yet - god is loved!

god killed everyone on earth - if the "Great Flood" happened today that would be six BILLION people dead - Hitler - monster as he was - "only" had MILLIONS of people from minorities put to death - but god didn't discriminate - every person and every animal - yet god's loved? - go figure.. we're a strange bunch aren't we?? perhaps Hitler should have told all those minorities that he loved them before he killed them and everything would have been hunky dory??

not likely

It's against the law to deny the holocaust in some countries! How did god get to be such a big shot, having killed nearly everyone on earth? Shouldn't it be against the law to deny that god has fucked us around big time?

this is why the entire bible failed for me, "why am I supposed to be impressed about tales of a monster??!?!?" ... I too can appreciate Hitler's charisma as a leader in getting the German nation to follow him but that doesn't mean I respect him or advocate the end result of his actions!! So why do people believe these stories when there has never been a character more belligerent and vengeful and murderous than the christian/jew/islamic god?!!

Yet he loves you! I love a lot of things too, ice cream, my iPod, clean socks, and I don't particularly care when my ice cream melts, or my iPod has exhausted its power supply, or when my socks get dirty... I go get another ice cream, I listen to music on something else, I put on a clean pair of socks ...

that sounds a bit more akin to the "love" of this god... oh look two hundred thousand people died in a Tsunami, never mind, got plenty more play things to amuse me...

Why do so many people follow monsters??

So back to the point - why is Satan such a monster? Satan did *nothing*, well, nothing god didn't say he could - well, if he actually exists that is!!

The first thing out of character for Satan was the attack on heaven, the bible even says as much, at least the King James Version says it...

And you know, here's something stupid - so *what* even if Satan does exist and is down here tempting us?? HERRO PREASE!!!

This Satan voice in your head tempts you and you go and do the EVIL VILE thing he tempts you to do??? I'm sorry, whooooo's fucking fault is that? You can blame Satan all you want ( you can blame the dog for farting too ) - but it's STILL *YOU* that is the fuckhead that went and did the vile thing!!! Saying the Devil made you do it just doesn't hold up in reality, and it is admission that you are weak minded, that you are a fool. And we all know the universe has no compassion for fools. ergo "The Darwin Awards".

If Satan told you to jump off a cliff, would you? Learn some self control - maybe it's a good thing all these religious people stay religious - imagine a few billion people suddenly having no moral compass when what they dread becomes true - proof that god doesn't exist!! (insert evil laugh)

Is this why nut case christians fear Satan?? because they DO NOT TRUST THEMSELVES TO TELL THE DEVIL TO FUCK OFF AND DO HIS OWN DIRTY WORK?? That they are easily led astray like some lost puppy following the first person home that comes along that they *need* another fantasy to ward off the first one? Oh god will save me from Satan!!

Yes the imaginary creature in your brain will save you from the imaginary creature in your brain. Well done, fucktard.

Don't look at me like I am a monster
Frown out your one face, but with the other (you)
Stare like a junkie into the TV
Stare like a zombie while the mother holds her child,
Watches him die,
Hands to the sky cryin "why, oh why?"

2256BC

in 2256BC - supposedly - Job was put through the ringers by god, with Satan egging him on .. but Satan was still one of god's angels at this point as it implies in this verse that Satan was to come and go from Earth .. I assume between Earth and heaven... what else is there to assume that makes sense? (oh I spotted the flaw in my logic - the bible doesn't make sense, but let's assume this little bit does)

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

gotta love how the ALL KNOWING god needs to ASK questions, by the way... does this all knowing thing seem a bit exaggerated?? if god is all knowing, he's deliberately faking it, god is deceptive on purpose .. god has gone out of his way to be dishonest! I mean how can you not love this shit!!! and by all means read the whole chapters to get the context, but Satan only did what god said he could do.

i got the year of 2256BC from this page, http://www.adamictimeline.com/adamic10b.html

726BC

So just when was Satan cast down to Earth for attacking heaven?

Apparently this happened in 726BC.. After the thing with Job - WAY after the flood and *WAY* *WAY* after the Garden of Eden.. If you don't like that idea that it wasn't Satan in the Garden of Eden ... remember just a few lines up above? Satan *only* ever did what god wanted him to do .. So if Satan was in the Garden of Eden - who is to say that god didn't tell Satan to tempt Eve? It's clearly demonstrated that Satan follows his orders given to him by god - he did with Job, so why not elsewhere?

The victor writes history to his advantage... something like that ...

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isaiah 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Isaiah 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Isaiah 14:28 In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.

and if you go and look up when King Ahaz died - it's around about the 726BC point in time....

which also just happens to be about the same time of that losing of the day thing ...

Isaiah 38:8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

http://www.adamictimeline.com/adamic10bb.html

The dates are a little out - but this *is* a story we are talking about

However at first before this attack on heaven, Satan, was given the task of looking over the earth, he was our guardian, along with a third of the angels, he was commanded to watch over the earth, to look out for us - from what, I'm not sure...

Now here's the bit I can't confirm, why was Satan sent down to us to watch over us? The only excuse I have found, which I can't re-find, is that god did this because apparently god was jealous of Lucifer's cherub hotness - hmmmm... all the angels must have been giving god the cold shoulder with Lucifer around... ?? mayhaps? But the "evidence" (LOL! The bible used as evidence, I kill me!) clearly shows that Satan was definitely sent to us before the time of Job.

((note to reader: I would really love to find the bit where Satan is sent - not cast out - to earth by god, so if you know, speak up!))

but then after a thousand years or so in 726BC - god read the heart of Lucifer, as indicated by Isaiah up above - and found that Lucifer was coveting the "throne" so to speak - oh really? hmmm... so god is jealous of Lucifer, or at the least, he sends Satan to earth for some reason, and then god just happens to .... discover that Lucifer wants to be top dog... convenient much? It's a bit of a stretch I know, but I've seen worse interpretations of the bible ... Like half a fucking line being used as the basis for the Earth fixed in space at the centre of the universe!

but the point is - what is god worried about anyway? it's frikking god, right? does this not imply that god is capable of being killed, imprisoned, coerced into compliance via threats of what? pain, death? and why did god not actually fight? Supreme being could have just clicked its fingers and bye bye - no more war against heaven...

ie. god must be something less than the "all powerful" bull shit i keep hearing ... otherwise god is a faker, or a coward...

come on people!! how can we believe this story?? - there are people who regard the BIBLE as HISTORY!! this is PETTY bullshit I'd expect from some teenage clique!!! Bible-ee Hills 90210 B.C. ... this is far beneath the likes of a god - the christian god is soooo not 'the' god

how would you feel if a parent got you to look after their kids and then after the kids misbehaved, the parent comes home and kills their children??.. what would you do? would you sit there and just let someone kill their kids?

i wouldn't - i don't give a fuck who you are - the pope - the barking dog next door - Abe Lincoln - the Queen - the Dalai Llama, even GOD!! You want to cause harm to people right in front of me i'm gunna step in

WHY . DID . SATAN . ATTACK . HEAVEN?

was god so ticked off at this King Ahaz guy that he was going to ..... go back on his word and wipe us all out again.. send an asteroid instead of a flood this time?

I mean seriously, *why* would Satan attack the "immortal" god, you don't do shit when you know you are going to fail, do you? so it's reasonable to assume that there was a mitigating factor in the attack, because what's the point if Satan was going to fail??? Satan must have known he might be able to win, even though he was outnumbered two to one... and let us not forget that Satan and god got along just fine for at least a few thousand years .. maybe millions ... maybe billions ... maybe just short of forever ... so what fucking changed after all that time??

there is no logic in fighting unless the chance of winning is there - a hopeless battle and fight to the death perhaps to go out with a bang is probably the exception - but - Satan didn't get killed did he? not according to the plethora of christians who insist that Satan is still down here leading us into an ashtray

so maybe Satan did us the biggest favour by attacking heaven .... which might have been just enough to make god go the fuck away and leave us alone and stop fucking us around with global floods and such, killing us all.

is Satan ... our Champion?

Did he stop god interfering? evened up the odds? Is this why god sent Jesus?? because Satan would rise up and defend us from the god monster?? to get around the whole attacking earth directly thing, did god slip one in under the door into Mary's VAGINA in the form of Jesus? or did Satan force god to fucking behave and stop being such a fucking arsehole to us by attacking heaven?

or was Jesus, Satan in disguise? (i did a whole blog on that one!) Did he come to give us the right message from the heavens, to show-up the god monster and show that *fucktard* how it's supposed to be done? Was all the "Saint" Paul stuff actually from god, you know the dude that wrote half the new testament, the dude that probably never even met Jesus and yet he somehow spoke for Jesus? .. *that* "Saint" Paul... well, was he god's attempt to counter all the Jesus bullshit about being nice to everyone? I mean god hates fags after all, allegedly. (god also hates eagles!) Is that why the Old Testament wasn't thrown away?? gotta have the people fearing god!! no point other wise! gotta show em the nasty stuff to give em a bit of fear!!!

DEFENDER, RIDE . LIKE . THE . WIND

Another thing is the *whens* of when all this happened - now there is no way to tell when the angels (ie Satan) were created - but this verse alludes to the angels watching god make the universe

Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

it's a bit of a stretch .. but before the universe was made god would have seemed to have made the angels as I can only assume the sons of god referred to angels, seeing how the earth was still on the assembly line and all - does anybody love how fascinating all of this is?

suffice to say that Satan - was on the side of good (well, if you count god's side as being "good") at least until god saw into his heart and the attack happened because the jig was up - but - if Satan had been planning this all along - why didn't god see into his heart sooner? I mean, god fucking knows everything, right?

Could it be that Satan was *not* planning anything at all - Satan was doing what he was told to do, that task being to watch over the earth and us humans, right? I mean this god is ALL SEEING and ALL KNOWING - I seriously doubt god would ignore what it saw in Satan's heart, especially if he was going to over throw god!! especially when it seems that god had cause for concern, seeing how it didn't just snap it's fingers and say "begone Satan, your insolence no longer amuses me..."

So, does it not stand to reason that this all seeing god was about to do something that tilted the balance, that made Satan react and attack heaven? this King Ahaz, god was pretty damn pissed at him for allowing everyone to be so naughty ...

was god just about to smite us again?

and did Satan, seeing how his charge was about to be smotified, did Satan follow his orders to the letter, as commanded by god itself, and rise up with his angels to defend us?

Seriously what else was there to defend us from *apart* from god?

did god set Satan up to fail, only to FAIL himself?
